Welcome to Drug Prevention Evidence

Welcome to the NCCDP Drug Prevention Evidence website. Our aim is to provide an online UK-focused drugs prevention resource offering content of interest to all types of professionals.

The site is growing all the time and offers:

  • New drug prevention research and publications from NCCDP and other authors (structured abstracts and/or full content with links to external authors)

  • Government policy and guidance updates (links to Government documents and websites)

  • Briefings on selected topics

  • Online presence for the NCCDP information service

  • Drugs in the media (with evidence based commentary)
  • Meetings and conferences of interest

  • Links to useful organisations

  • A dynamic glossary of drug prevention, practice, and policy terms

  • Information on effective evaluation tools

It is our overall aim to provide a wide ranging and balanced discussion of drug prevention work taking place in the UK, and allow links to be made between relevant organisations and academic departments both in the UK and abroad.

We hope that you will find time to explore the site. We would particularly welcome feedback and comments about how the site can be improved and what type of features and content would be of most use to you.
