Building Safer Communities

Applicable to: England, Northern Ireland and Wales

The Building Safer Communities (BSC)1 programme supports local action (Home Office 2004). It aims to help Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRPs) (or CDRPs and Drug (and Alcohol) Action Teams) or their equivalents in the devolved administrations to develop a holistic and structured approach to crime reduction and addressing drug-related concerns.

£74 million pounds has been allocated for use in Engalnd and Wales.

1 In England and Wales, Communities Against Drugs has been subsumed under the BSC programme.
