In Scotland in 2001, 31% of those reporting cannabis as the primary drug of use are in the under 20 age group, 19% are in the 20 to 24 age bracket, 23 per cent in the 25 to 29, whilst 29 per cent are 30 years old and over. Those reporting cannabis are generally in the younger age groups when compared to other drugs.
