Children Act (2004)

The Children Act (2004) built on the Green Paper Every Child Matters (HM Government 2003). It provides a legal framework for practitioners working with children and families to share information. It enables the introduction of a secur and professionally maintained information index. This will help children and families access the services they need (such as education or health care).
