Sure Start in Northern Ireland

Sure Start was established in Northern Ireland by the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety, Northern Ireland in 2000. Twenty-three programmes currently exist in Northern Ireland, providing services for approximately 19,000 children under the age of four years old, although the service is expanding.
